Reading on the Water

Hello, I’m Helen

My journey has taken me through banking, business, five-star hospitality, property and facilities support, and health and social care. I have been in business for over 24 years, and each stage of my career has strengthened my understanding of people, service, professionalism and responsibility.

Working in health and care became especially meaningful to me. It showed me that great service is not simply about completing a task — it is about listening, preserving dignity, encouraging independence and helping people feel valued. That experience revealed a deeper passion for supporting others and became a major inspiration behind HoneyBeeTop.

My professional background brings together Accounting, Adult Care, Health & Care Management, Project Management and digital technology — a combination that supports both the people-focused and operational sides of HoneyBeeTop.

My Story

My passion for caring for others began long before my professional journey.

As a child, I experienced difficult circumstances from a young age and often felt there was no one I could comfortably talk to. Growing up in a very strict environment also taught me, through experience, just how important love, understanding, reassurance and emotional support are in a person’s life.

A lack of these things can affect confidence, trust, emotional security and the way people relate to others. But rather than allowing what I lacked to define me negatively, I made a personal decision to turn what I had missed into what I wanted to give to others.

I wanted my family, and the people I encountered throughout life, to experience kindness, understanding and genuine care. Over time, this became a natural part of who I am. I learnt to listen before judging, to try to understand another person's experience and to respond with empathy.

When I later entered health and social care, something connected deeply. I realised that the values I had carried for many years — compassion, dignity, patience and understanding — could become part of the work I did every day.

That experience became one of the inspirations behind H-BTOP.

For me, H-BTOP is therefore more than a collection of services. It reflects a belief that whether supporting an individual, a family, a business or an organisation, people should feel respected, listened to and valued.

I also believe we should always be mindful of how our words, choices and actions affect other people. Even small acts can leave a lasting impact. That is why I believe in choosing kindness, showing compassion and leading with love wherever possible.

In many ways, I used what I once lacked to help shape the person I chose to become — and today, that same principle continues to shape the heart of H-BTOP.

Be mindful. Be kind. Show love. Serve with purpose.
